The Wayward Zipper Pouch - Free Pattern
This zipper pouch is a quick and easy project designed to use the scrap left over on a roll of PVC vinyl after making our Carry On Tote Pattern but it is easy to modify to fit any size scrap.
Finished size when bound: 10” W and 8.5” H
Finish size when turned: 9.5” W and 8.5” H
Difficulty: Easy/Beginner
Time to make: >1 hour
Supplies Needed:
• One 10” W x 17” H piece of Clear PVC ~Or~ TPU ~OR~ Jelly Vinyl for the Main Panel
• 10” piece of #5 zipper tape and one #5 zipper pull ~OR~ One 15” or longer pre-made zipper
• Your choice of binding: two 8.5” pieces of webbing ~OR~ two 2” W x 9” H pieces of fabric ~OR~ two 9” pieces of pre-made 1/2” double fold bias binding ~OR~ two 9” pieces of 1” FOE ~OR~ two
8.5” H x 1”W pieces of vinyl
• Sewing machine foot that is suitable for working with vinyl; walking foot, roller foot, teflon foot
• Zipper Foot
• Needle: Leather or denim needle size 90/14 is suggested
• 100% polyester thread
• Lighter
• Quilting Clips
• (optional) Heavy duty clips/clamps and felt or thick interfacing
